Three-location shop trains service advisors by role-playing objections with AI

Carfix · Raleigh, NC area, US ·

What they did

Carfix feeds its preferred scripts into a generative AI tool in voice mode and has it play the customer raising objections, then play the advisor overcoming them. It also uses AI to write short explainer paragraphs for repair orders (features, benefits and the risks of skipping a service), so every RO is documented the same way. The owner says AI assistants should identify themselves and offer customers a person.

Try it yourself: starter prompt

Our suggested prompt for an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or your phone-agent tool). It is not from the source.

You are a skeptical customer at an auto repair shop. Your car needs front brake pads and rotors, and the estimate is higher than you expected. Raise one realistic objection at a time and wait for my answer. After five exchanges, tell me which of my answers were most and least convincing and why.
