What they did

Berrett Home Services uses Playmaker to answer overflow and after-hours calls, look up customers and book appointments directly into ServiceTitan. Human CSRs still answer first; calls roll over only when they can't get to the phone, and the agent can live-transfer a caller to an employee when a person is needed. Before this, roughly 180 calls a month were being missed, at an average HVAC job value of about $500.

Reported results

  • $44,903 in revenue attributed to Playmaker-booked appointments across July and August 2026 ($22,494 in July, $22,409 in August); 540 calls handled in August

Try it yourself: starter prompt

Our suggested prompt for an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or your phone-agent tool). It is not from the source.

You answer calls for an HVAC company between 6 PM and 8 AM. Ask what's happening, decide if it's an emergency using these rules: [list your emergency rules]. If it is, page the on-call tech with the address and issue. If not, offer the next two open morning slots and confirm by text.
